Where to join cables

Ref the rear light cables, the loom has the connectors (double connectors on the drivers side to support tow bar electrics), do I join the light fittings to the connectors below the vehicle or do I somehow squeeze all the connectors through the hole and have the joins “in” the tub (i.e. in the corner that you can see in the photo)?
The cables are long enough for either option to be done.

You could also drill another hole with a rubber grommet if you like.

In the tub… you will be dry & warm when problem sorting

Make sure there is some spare wire for the future, nothing worse than po just using enough wire with no slack.

The bundle of connections should be covered by the the little corner cover if you have one
