Doing the front wheel bearings and brakes on my 96 def 90,
however when I took the offside apart I took the first nut, then lock washer, then second nut and then there was no thick washer?
There was very minimal play and it wasn’t noisy but just wondering if anyone knew how this could have happened?
Have ordered the washer and know how it all goes together just thought I’d share.

One quick question though, I know about cutting a slot out of the old race to use as a drift for the new outer race but does anyone know of a press set that would work on the defenders race as I feel it would be easier to do it with a pull together press kit if there was one available for not silly money.

Thanks ollie

Your first question. No surprise, bodgers get everywhere. The parts book should be the Bible!

I've always drifted them, but a 'hatchbacks' wheel bearing puller/pusher I had to get for one of the kid's cars last year would probably adapt. Deffo cut the old one for the good fit though.

This is the one I bought, you might need a bit of tube to go over the stub axle. Can't guarantee the sizes, but it's Amazon and you might've ordered it by mistake.
