I'm about to fit a 2" lift kit, and some 33's to a 5 door Disco.
I'm aware i'm going to have to cut the arches, but how much do i have to cut off? I presume i have to cut into the rear doors aswell.

Any advise will be welcomed.....

Thanks.

Mate, do a search. I remember a fred just the same as this a couple of months ago - I fink it had pictchewers and everyfing.

I'm just about to cut mine, I've got 33's a 2" lift and some extreme offset 8" wheels and I definitely need to do a lot of cutting

bit easier on a 3 dr but the cutting is still req

Definately interested in this. I have 265/75 cooper stt. Did the camel cut but due to a dent it still took a slice out 2 new tyres :( I have now bent the entire of the inside lip of the arch back flat. Now ordered some new 1.5 inch lift springs to try and save any more damage

I'm posting a few pics (live, theangle grinder is a few feet from me...) as I cut my arches. Please bear in mind I'm not a panel beater and have never done this before, but hopefully it will help. I'll add descriptions afterwards.

Front wheelarches. Now these really are easy. Writeup to follow but hopefully the pics are self explanatory. I've taken the absolute bare minimum off front and rear arches and am screwing rather than riveting the arches on to begin with so that I can remove them easily should more trimming be required.
