I'm looking to get my dear mother a replacement car.
years back i got her a Mercedes 190, but it's getting on and she's complaining it's too big.
I want to get her a 4x4 cos for some reason she's paranoid about keeping the grandkids safe!?!
...she likes the look of the Toy-ota Rav4.
anyway, i'm looking to spend as little at possible (but stealing it is a no-no)
Not worried about the amount of work it needs so thinking about finding the lemon-iest freelander and doing it up. (aka, 99% of freelanders)
...opinions?

. So if you're looking at a cheap Land Rover that isn't massive it only leaves the old Freelander which isn't so great in the crashes (3star). When you haven't much to spend there aren't really many cars that do that well in crashes because they're old! How much do you have to spend then I can help you
