What the jesus is this all about??

ok so ive noticed in the last few days that when im driving (long or short distances) that the odd time, it will go into limp mode for about 2 seconds,

the temp gauge will shoot up to red area and the turbo looses power.

but then two seconds later it all goes back to normal....

very strange, dont know what to think, any suggestions??

Dont know much about the TD5s but it does sound like a wiring fault as the guage shoots up to the red ( shorting to earth ) .

My boss at work has a 2004 110 Td5 and a simular thing happens. Temp in red and wont even start. Occationally happended whilst driving and completey cuts out.

After a bit of investigation we found it seams to be one of the yellow relays under the drivers seat. if you turn the ignition on (but not fire the engine) and temp is in the red, wiggle one relay at a time under the drivers seat and see if it sorts it.

Its been happening on and off to this wagon for months now but my boss still hasn't done anything about it.....!!
