I am finishing a project 90 hard top 200tdi made in 1994. Apart from a few embellishments I want it as Landrover intended when new. I have alloys fitted at present but what would it have most likely have had fitted when new and with what size tyres? This isn't one of those how big can I go questions!

Did some one issue a "i dont know how a forum search button works" alert??? :D

Standing by for DRIVEL and discopol.

To be fair, this is a little different to the usual question, and the answer is probably buried in the 1000's of "what is the biggest I can fit?" questions. IIRC if the 90 was fitted with the standard steel wheels, then the original size would have been 205/80/16. But if fitted with the optional alloys, the size would have been 235/75/16.

Thought it was 205/80/16 or 235/85/16

You really want to do a search on any type of tyre related topic first as probably every possible question has been asked and answered.

These are the stock rims it would have come with (painted white)
RRC503600PM | 16x5.5 LWB Rim Tubeless Type (O.E. manufacture) Black Primer Coated
And it would have had 750 r16 tyres fitted.
Seem to have hit the button there. 750r 16 it is then. As stated trying to return my def to standard. Sorry to those who feel every tyre and wheel question is biggest is best question.
Thanks Chezvegus.

7.50s are a 1-to-1 tyre. Which means they have an aspect ratio of 100%.
Metric equivalent size (not actually made) would be 205/100/R16

A standard 90 is fitted with 205/80/R16, but imho 235/85 or 265/75 look far more proportional to the vehicle.
