OK I don't do off road....muck:eek:
My fl 1 2002 1.8 was bought cos I like the look of them and I waited a long time for the right one
OK so its a K series but it has a comprehensive service history, which I have kept up regardless of expense.
Any way here's the list...

Inside...
Sony head unit
Window tint
LED courtesy lights
LED boot lights
Carbon fibre wrapped radio/ventilation area and door handles
Fire extinguisher fitted between two rear seats
Sparco alloy gear knob
Polished all torx heads (yeah really)

Outside...
Alloys 245/45/18s :cool2:
Sport back box
Heko wind deflectors
Replaced all bulbs with LEDs
LED DRLs
Carbon fibre wrap on removable roof and bonnet as it has a few nasty scratches, the whole bonnet will be wrapped soon
Carbon fibre body kit inserts
Debadged and replaced with carbon fibre, freelander badge now reads sparkys bandit in freelander font
Retro 70s moto gp decals
Moto gp seat covers

Mechanicals etc...
New fuel pump
Exhaust manifold
Header tank
Just had full major service inc cam belt etc

That's it for now....;)

And no I'm not a Chav or hairdresser, I just like to individualize my motas, it may not be to your taste but hey I might not like yours :argue:

I'm just in the process of building my own lift kit as I do the offroad thing;-)

So far I have fitted led recovery lights in the grill and rear bumper
Led work lamp at the back custom made some roof bars from 50x20 3mm box section
Fitted a new clutch and master cylinder replaced vcu (need to get yet another one) replaced rear diff mounts serviced the brakes

Plans are,

Finish making my 2 inch lift
30mm wheel spacers
235 75 16 all terrain tires
Remove mudflaps and replace with rally style flaps
Make my high steer adapter for the steering arms
Build a full length roof rack safari style
Build small rear silencer
Tuning module
Fit new crank pulley
Design a front external mounted sun visor mack truck style B-)
Fit cb radio and aerial

Ruin it all in the dirt

My wife's 2002 Hippo is all stock, as it came out of the dealer in California (V6). Zambezi silver, black leather, 17" alloys, auto, and power everything. Today, (just finished) I fitted driving lamps on the front bumper. The lamps were leftover from her Wrangler (long gone), and were collecting dust in the barn. They also had rigid plastic covers, which I threw away (covers had Jeep logo!). I think the stock lights on 2002 Hippo are inadequate for the night driving in the mountains.

She just told me to find her the "front light cages" (her words), but I can not find ANY on the web. I have the rear light guards (from the donor car), but not the fronts (anyone knows where can they be found!?).

After the lights are sorted out, I'll fit the cargo carrier (basket), and mount the search light on one side. I have a handle to operate it, from an old police cruiser, which will come handy.

I don't plan on any other mods. This Hippo will never see any trails and/or mud (some gravel roads). Next year we are moving up North, and it will have a chance to play in the snow.
