Need to work on the injector pipe nuts at the pump end, 17mm nuts, but access is impossible with a normal 17mm spanner on most of the 6 so thought it best to buy the proper split spanner but which one works best for access? There are straight and weird cranked ones on ebay , who has one that works well and can recommend?
Ta muchly:)

I'd have to look but I think mine is cranked. You now planning to go the DTI route? Otherwise just undo at the nut at the injectors.

Nope, using your method Keith, seen my email?
I'm struggling to move the FIP any further and suspect the pipes are getting stressed. I can use the spanner on my TDI too and they aren't expensive really.

Don't undo the FIP end, just do the injector end, they go back easy enough after the FIP is moved. Yes seen your Email and replied.:D

And make sure you hold the outlet aka delivery valves in the manual from the pump while you crack off the pipe union, think it's 14mm.;):D I'm sure the 17mm is cranked so it will fit all the unions around the back of the pump.
