Can anyone tell me what this part is and what it does . I have a 90 300 tdi bolted to the inside of the drivers wing there's a plate says on the plate xbl 10003 21r. On that plate is a gold electrical item 2 1/2 inch long by -1 1/4 inch pop rivited to it . it has 2 wired coming from it going to a connector which connects to Brown /brown yellow on loom. On the gold thing it says cgs r1369 iro 5% 9417.

I remember the early 300tdi discos having one of them L maybe M reg.
although mines on bulkhead like fender
