What are the chances?

Well I was wondering if it might be better to buy something around the £2000 mark and spend the other 2K on upgrades, or to just hope for the best with my full budget. I want to purchase a lwb landy, probs a 110 defender to convert into a camper...

sadly i wouldn't fancy my chances with a brand new new one not going wrong,
let alone an old one.

if it were me i would spend the £4k and hope for the best.

4.5K on mine, in 6 weeks new rear UJs, 6 months, Clutch earthing problem, 9 months, Wheel Bearings.

thats besides those little niggles that need sorting as you go.

Spend £3.5k and keep £500 back for the initial failures. £500 will buy you a reasonable amount of fixes, even a couple of garage ones:)
