I have had my Discovery 4 3.0 HSE for a year now. Absolutley love the car. Super comfortable and has been very useful in the recent cold snap on untreated roads!
However, at its latest MoT I have just landed a nearly £2.25k bill for new rear brakes, new propshaft, new starter button - had intermittent fault and various other bits and bobs. I have also decided for peace of mind to get the transmission serviced, brake fluid replaced as well as the heating and air-con. The big bill also includes a full service.
I was considering selling the car this year (they are expensive things to run!) but now will be keeping for another year.
The misses and I are on our first European holiday without our laddie (hes all grown up now and wants to do his own thing) so look forwards to driving in Europe with the Landy.
Anyway - what would the forum think is a reasonable price for supply and fittign of a new rear propshaft - and what would a reasonable price be for a transmission service?
Thank you.
