I have a question about my ex militairy Series 3 88" engine number.
My enginenumber has a number I can't find in any database I looked in to.
It says 30011982 RW.
Now looking in to the published numbers on internet it should be a
300xxxxxx Series IIA petrol 2625cc (Forward Control)
That would mean a 6 cilinder engine.
Which is not, it's a militairy 3 barrel 4 cilinder petrol engine 2286 cc, 77 bhp.
Now: Do militairy engines have different engine numbers or are the published databases about engine numbers incorrect?
