My wife has decide that there is a 'howling gale' coming through the front passenger door and so even though I can detect nothing when I sat there and she took over the driving I guess I need to do something so that I can regain ownership of the driver's seat.
I presume that the seals will be the obvious place to start and I was looking for advice on do I try plumping them up or just rip and replace?

This is a 2014 SD4 HSE Auto in case that makes a difference

Can you see any damage to the seals? If there's no visible damage, then it's very unlikely that they're leaking, or the source of the noise.

Also make sure the window is calibrated to be fully up, and that there's nothing trapped in the seal.

The mirrors have been blamed for excessive wind noise in the past, if you're struggling to pinpoint the exact location, but I don't know of a fix for those.

First is the misses from West Yorkshire.
Second is the door off key to the body.
Thirdly being that age I suspect some kinks in the seal
Fourthly are you sure the misses not from West Yorkshire.
Fifthly Nodge will be along shortly.

Thanks for the suggestions (and laughs). Not that I am slow these days but the comment about alignment reminded me it was the front passenger corner that got rebuilt so I may have to get my laser pointer and check that the bits wot is meant to be straight actually are.

If it's had repair work done in the same area, then maybe something isn't as it left the factory.
