Water Pump / Cam Belt

Hi

As you can probably gather new to the F2 ownership !!. So my new purchase defo needs a cam belt change, i have seen that you do water pump at same time & an AUX pulley ?

Is there anything else worth doing that a standard oil change service would not have done. I am awaiting some confirmation from the garage as to whether the rear diff haldex was serviced & when.

With the cam belt set any recommendations to quality to buck would be appreciated.

Gates belt kits are available with the water pump or without. They're good value, and excellent quality OE quality in fact. A timing belt takes about 2.5 hours to complete, providing the pulley bolt comes out easily.
The full Gates kit comes with everything needed, including pump, gasket, belt, tensioner, idler and the important crankshaft pulley bolt.

I did this job last week, except the pump which was recent, so took me less than an hour to complete.

Do let us know your name so we know whom we are posting to, I have just bought two sets of belts to do my two FL2's TD4 & SD4.

I note you have a 2010 HSE it would be a good idea to find out if the power steering reservoir as been changed in the last two years, also the the fuel filter, only purchase genuine ones.

Check and change PTU oil, gearbox oil, rear diff oil.
