water leak in drivers footwell

hi i have a freelander and have noticed that i have water in the drivers footwell under the carpet (the top of the carpet is bone dry ) which is causing the windscreen to mist i can not see the cause of the leak the passenger side is dry any help would be gratefully appreciated

Check the tube connection for the rear window jet wash. Its hidden under the carpet on the drivers side.

Failing that a grommet may be lost allowing some ingress of water.

If heater matrix is leaking then usually its the passenger side
