Water/air diesel heater

Hi all, still rebuilding a 130, and looking at putting in a diesel air/water heater. Has anybody done this/recommend which to use? Webasto ,Eberspacher or perhaps a Warmda? Thanks people.

I rewired my old Freelander 1 FHB to prove heat to the vehicle via remote control. It worked flawlessly, so it's definitely the way I'd go. I'm actually looking to install the same FBH to our garden room, as a cheaper alternative to electricity. A Webasto FBH will pump out about 4kW, which is enough for a decent sized building, let alone a car.
 
Sorry bit late to reply just seen this i know a bit about the air heaters maybe this will help. Cant go wrong with Eberspacher or Webasto although im biased towards Eberspachers as my dad designed the controllers for them through the 80s to the present day however hes retired now. The airtronics are simpler to fit than the hydronics and will give you hotter instant heat but then you dont get the bonus of heating your engine block or access to hot water etc. Ive never fit or used a hydronic but have fitted a few airtronics to landys behind the middle seat usually. There is actually a specific landrover filler neck attachment which will feed the fuel pumps bit pricey but saves you cutting fuel lines etc. What ever you choose just stay away from chinese heaters yeah you can buy a few chinese to 1 eberspacher or webasto and they work until they dont and then there damn right dangerous. I know of 1 that sucked a tesco bag up and the heater continued to run until the plastic casing melted and caught fire. You also got carbon monoxide to think about. They are not safety approved and come into the country through the back door (ebay). I think there trying to ban them in the uk and europe at the moment as its not fair webasto and eberspacher have to pay huge costs for there heaters to keep you safe and the chinese dont. A webasto and eberspacher will constantly monitor itself whilst running and before startup thats what you pay your money for and thats why they are fitted to lorrys cranes boats etc in europe and the uk. To be honest a second hand hydronic or airtronic these days is not hugely expensive. Im not sure how a hydronic fitted in an engine bay would handle wading or mud so maybe another thing to think about might be able to build some sort of box. The modern lcd controllers will let u read error codes which is very handy. If you fit 1 download a manual everything u need to know is covered. Hope this helps
