wastegate /and screaming noise.

many thanks to eightwavee. replaced wastegate cured the problem of surging when flooring the accellorator. i have got another problem. ther is a loud screaming sound comming from behind the offside rear wheel it starts as soon as you turn the ignition on .also the engine is running very lumpy you can feel the car shaking very slighly on tickover .the samewhen cruising.when you go up a steep hill it vibrates just like. the front wheels are out of balance. sorry forgot to state.its a td5 auto 01 plate 56000 on the clock.

The screaming sounds like the in tank fuel pump.

I had one in the garage last week and changed the pump , still the same noise.
It fianly turned out to be a blocked NEW diesel filter that had been fitted a few days previous.
