Whats the best / easyest way to remove this ??

noticed a waterleak yesterday - got underneath to have a look and poke around.

on the pump for the rear window the pipe had pulled off - or so it seemed !!

Actually it has sheared off so nothing to stick pipe to now !!

Chris

Having had a quick look - just want to check - Is the pump just a push fit into bottle ??? if it is, I can probably fit a new pump with everything in situ !!

Anyone confim that pump is just a push fit into bottle ???

thanks

Access is by removing the front bumper - apparently not as hard as it sounds (assuming the screws aren't all ... er ... screwed!

front bumper off is not too bad - did it the other week

Was just wondering if I could change the washer pump without having to do it all again !!!!

Dunno about that - RAVE says the bumper has to come off and looking at it can't see how you'd get access otherwise. I'm sure the more creative members here will have some ideas though :)

I changed my washer bottle pump by undoing one side of the bumper, and opening the gap just enough to get a block of wood in. Just enough room to get your hand in and replace the pump. Push fits IIRC. Be careful of the small water pipe coming off the pump, which sends water to the windscreens. Very brittle.

To change the whole water reservoir, you’ll need the bumper off as people have said above.

It is a push fit using a "super special" grommit (82p+VAT from from friendly LR dealer :) ).
