Warn xd9000 winch

My father in law has picked up a winch at a local implement sale. It didn’t come with a remote and he is trying to get it working using a remote he has sourced from eBay. The one he has now is a 3 pin, but the original appears to be a 5pin.


The first pic is the new set up and second the old socket removed. Does anyone know if this will work ???

I think you need to change to an Albright type solenoid instead of the warn solenoid, then you can wire the 3 wire remote to the new solenoid.
