Wanted: Front bumper bar for a 200TDi

Mod's - I've cheekily put this here as I can't see how to post in the wanted section...there's no "New Thread" icon or similar; is that right? Please feel free to move!!!

I need a standard bumper bar (don't need washer jets, number plate mounting, plastic spoiler or end caps) for an early Discovery (ie 200TDi "shape"). Undented, unbent and solid (including the welded on metal "clips" under the front of the end caps) please.

If you have a good complete front bumper assembly, I'll buy if the price is right!

Hi Sheddy - sorry, switched my phone to silent when I was in a tremendously high-powered executive global strategy meeting this AM (erm; okay, maybe something a little more mundane) and forgot to turn the ringer on again until tonight...!! Left you a voicemail though when I noticed I had a missed call.

Definitely interested in the bumper. Have you got any photo's/indication of general condition/price etc? I'm really after something that is sound rather than crumbly.

Those clips at each end welded to the front of the bar and hidden by the end caps are a pretty good indicator of condition to me ... our's have turned to dust! The odd rust scab isn't a problem if it's only superficial.

As I work in London not far from Liverpool St, I suppose for me easiest thing to do would be to take the train from London to Southend during the week and cart it back down to Eastbourne whilst incurring the curiosity or wrath of fellow commuters (done similar before with a rad for my Rover Vitesse ... admittedly rather lighter and less bulky). Are you around in the evenings next week?

Thinking of that, I wouldn't want to wreck my best Asda suit...would you be prepared to throw a bucket of water over it first if this deal works out?

Erm...erm...in case my suit dirties the bumper?!?!

just got meself an image of a bloke in a cheap suit with a feckin great disco bumper under his arm i=on the train, everyone looking at him as if he is an escapee
