VIN Number, where are they?

So i was looking into buying a 90 locally but after doing some research and getting help from the forum members this Land rover seems to be a ringer Im still considering just goong there out of pure interest to see if its a Series with a 110 Plate and front end ETC but ive only been able to find info about the vin plate being located under the bonnet only, is there and other identification points on the car?

Anyonr know of a site that can tell me if a car is stolen, its info etc from the Vin?

Vin number should be on right front dumb iron near the tie down ring, on the plate on the brake master cylinder and on later vehicles on a metal plate visible through the windscreen.
