Any help please, series 3 1972 2.2 petrol, jerking and losing drive in fourth gear, not fuel, overdrive working ok?
 
Could be something simple like main shaft nut loose on gearbox or detent plungers.
James Martin is the gearbox Guru, he will have a good idea.
