would it be feasible to drill a small hole in the vcu and put in
crc and then seal the hole ?????

Putting a hole will make no difference, the fluid has turned to jelly and is a complete bitch to get off (has to be soaked for days in silicon solvent). Either buy a replacement VCU, or remove and drive in 2 wheel drive.
