Hi all,

I have had the pleaseure of someone crashing into my FL2 2007 when it was parked. its was also pushed into a lampost after impact. Extensives front and rear damage.

I'm just waiting for the body repair center to finalise prices and pass them to the Insurance Company (IC).

They mentioned that the 'VBOX' was damaged and getting prices on this was delaying the final price getting to the IC.

What is a VBOX?? I have never heard of the term before.

Thanks

Sommink to do with gps data logging but I thought they wuz only used on test vehicles

Think collision warning systems use them but the important thing......the really important thing is......

I don't have pics as i don't have the car. just curious as to what is was as i have never heard of it before.

Vbox? Never even heard of one

Do they mean the SRS ECU? They can require changing after impacts. I guess its either that or they mean the impact sensors scattered around the car (2 inside front bumper)

Correct, Racelogic VBox is for test / development of new vehicles, and also used by car racing teams. I use them at work for brake performance testing new designs of big yellow machines that dig holes.

Thanks guys. they mentioned that it was 'cracked' and needed replacing. my first thought was the white box of combobulators and wires in the spare wheel housing.
