Van double seats?

Hi has anybody fitted, or attempted to fit, the double front seats from a transit or ldv type van in their motors. I was originally thinking of just having just the two seats in the front but the double seats showed up on ebay and set the seed. Will they fit? Are they too wide? Are there any other issues?
Most of the later ones appear to have the 3 point seatbelts so it would be doubly useful.

I have done a search or two on this but dont get anything useful returned.

The project in pictures

I saw them mounted rear facing a few years ago, easy fit across the bulkhead of an 88, and made access easy. Legality? No idea.

I was actually thinking about using them for the front seats. If I fit one of them instead of the two passenger seats and a separate drivers seat, as they are in the front of the van. I think the van is slightly wider so the seats would possibly be closer together than in there original installation but as the landy seats are close together that should not be too much of an issue.

Nobody fitted these up front then?
