Hi,
i have found that a couple of fixings from my vaccum pump are missing not on to the engine but the actual unit they look like big rivets! holding the front plate on could i get away with just putting some bolts through and doing them up?????
New units cost!!!!!!

Help.......:violin:

that was my thought i can actually pull the bloody plate of and get me finger in its that loose i take his is still not classed as knackered then????

I'm not familiar with them vacuum pumps but I'd be tempted to remove the plate completely. Clean everything up. Either make a gasket or use a thin smear of silicone sealant between the pump and plate and bolt it all back together. See what happens.
