Hi All
Just replaced my nearly 9 year old "Unipart" Vacuum pump. The endcap is popped open and I and looking at at repairing it via drill out of rivets and fitting M5 nuts and bolts.
The lover core plug/welch plug is completely missing! Lucky oil level in engine only dropped to lower mark.
Question is what is the size of the core plug? Read old post on other landy forum and guy said he fitted 22mm ones thou after lots of measurements he thinks a 7/8ths" ie 22.22500mm is a better fit.
There is plenty core plug of this size on Ebay for 2.50. Guess a dish core plug is preferred compared to a cup one. Looks as if a dish one was fitted originally
