Ok, so having decided my right leg is aching a bit more than it should, I checked to see if my brake servo is working.
It isnt...

TBH I think its the vac pump, I had the "clicking" a week or so ago, and the brakes are now a tad heavy, but it would be stupid not to check the cheap option first.

So, besides the servo, do the vac lines go anywhere else?

Also, if the pump is working, what sort of vacuum should it produce, would it be ok to stick a finger over it to see if its sucking if not how would you tell if its the vac pump or the servo thats U/S??

the vacuum produced isnt that strong. If you stick yer' finger on it its the equivalent of a cheap $5 good time. Its not going to suck your finger off or anything :)

I did mine the other week and it was the servo, £60 and 20 minutes to change and what a transformation!

The vac doesnt go anywhere else (unless you have some fancy servo clutch as well!)

shouldn't be more than -30hg.

i've tested before by using an oil extractor pump to create a vacuum on the servo
