Hi all,
This is my first post here!
I have a series 3 Hard top and a knackered 110 I'm stripping for parts.
I've decided that I want to take the V8 and RR autobox out of the 110 and stick it in the series 3 but I haven't a clue what to do with the front axle.
Does anyone know if I can put a RR or 110/90 CV joint into a series axle, or..... do you think it'll be better to stick the diff lock on and keep the axle frewheeling on the black stuff? (i do this at the moment as I have stripped the splines on the drive plate)
Can anyone think of any pit falls to putting the V8 in the Series apart from the obvious fuel consumption and braking?
Cheers!
