Hi all. I have a X reg V8 Manual. Put it in for an oil leak fix ('galley gasket' is what i think it's called) and since collecting, the idle is random and very low once up to temperature. In addition, the brakes have no feeling to them. I assumed they were individual issues and have since changed the master cylinder, the abs module, the servo and done a re-bleed (several times) but the pedal is still far to stiff/hard. I was doign this so i could return the car to the engine guy safely however, am now thinking / being led to believe that there may be a vacuum leak somewhere that's causing both problems.

I'm no mechanic so am turning to you guys for advice? Anyone know any 'common' parts that could cause this. Apparently a manifold leak was the initial suspect but that's been ruled out as 'ok'.

Help.

TIA

The lack of vacuum to the brake servo possibly, so check pipe from the servo to where ever the vac connection is on the D2V8.
There will be a filter/restrictor as part of the connection at the servo, and if like the D1V8 there is also one at the engine vac connection, which is on the plenum chamber for a D1.
