Hi all

Thought I'd just say hello. I went a bit crazy on Ebay at the start of July and ended up buying a ex-MOD Series 3 109 (1984), cuz it went for a good price. Didn't think I'd end up winning it, and ended up going down to Reading that night to drive it back from Reading with a huge bloody trailer on the back! I can assure you, for a bloke who's never driven anything bigger than a 4 door Escort, driving a LWB Landy down the motorway at night in the pouring rain with a trailer on the back is a complete baptism by fire!

Have had it back home for a couple of months now, taxed, insured, MOTed, log book in my name, ready to have some fun. Thought I'd join a forum tho just so I start to have a bloody clue what I'm doing!!

Going to have an ask around about general maintenance for it as a start, then maybe getting a stereo in it - although realise Landy electrics are a bit different from normal car ones!

Anyway, big hello to everyone on the forum.

errr welcome to the mad house! You'll need a thick skin and a warped sense of humour here, but sometimes you can find answers to questions you might have :D Show us some pics then!

we likes piccies we does.

Welcome & good choice of motor.

Grow a thick skin & ask away!

Series Landy electrics are only different cos' they're simpler & in the main have big thick chunky wires & big chunky Lucas switches that take all the current & therfore have a corresponding lack of relays.

Fit a stereo by all means, but don't expect to hear it when flat out. ;)
