Hello I am about to go down the route of buying some expensive hub converters to bring my stud spacing down from the disco 1 setting to to the disco II spacing.

Has anyone done this and what is there experience like, e.g. did they effect the handling, did it introduce any rattles whilst in motion? Are they safe to use?

any feedback is really important to me as these converters are £350 for a set.

thanks

Tony

+1 - what IS the point? For the same money your could buy yourself a new set of DI wheels and tyres.

I can't see any reason why you would want to do this, unless you want to fit DI 18" wheels. If that IS the reason - don't bother the ride quality will be horrible and tyres are muchos expensivoss.

you need to loctite passenger side spacer nuts as they can come undone ,wheel nuts dont need it , i have a set of spacers ive just removed from mine which had p38 wheels on spare

Thanks for the offer James for free wheels and tyres, unfortunately I have committed to buying some tyres and wheels already. It would be good to find a set of hub converters s/h instead of forking out £350.

do you have the hub converters or just spacers?

they are hub convertors/spacers they are the ones i bought for mine ,i now have disco 2 ,they allow fitment of p38 wheels etc to disco 1 and defender
