upgraded thermostat swap

Morning Guys

firstly merry xmas to everyone

i have been told by RAC to change the white plastic thermostat on my freelander as it would appear to be not working...also the radiator is freezing.they advise thermostat first.i have got a new one from euro parts and just wondering is this an easy swap looks like i just unclip the hoses and fit the new one before re filling the system and bleeding..have to exscuse me but is this all there is to it.

sorry its the 1.8 petrol its had the mod done but had problems last weekend rac said looks like thermostat and or a blocked rad

Thermostat should be easy to swap when the system is drained . Just watch out with those circlips though, they are basstids!

thanks will give it a go during the week if it ever stops raining
