Gents, I know there have been lots posts on leaks but need a bit of advice and help. My 2001 disco has two sun roofs and seems to be taking significant water through the roof (when you go round a corner after heavy rain major water drops from roof). Can anyone suggestion a possible solutions or parts I need to fix the prob. thanks John

Agree but it is getting very wet - worried that car will rot away if I don't stop the flow........

Land rovers leak and rot

It took me about 2 hours from start to finish to reseal my sunroofs on mine it was leaking between roof and sunroof so took them out and resealed them with sikaflex that was ages ago no probs since

Having your D2 rust away from the leaking sunroofs.......should be more concerned by the rusting chassis and I'm not joking...

Only way is as said, remove and refit whilst sealing properly. Or like me, give up and by a disco without sunroofs.

As a step in the right direction can you buy and replace the seals around the sunroofs? Thinking of doing something to address rather than wait for summer.....

Its not normally the actual sunroof seals that leak,it's where the roof cassette is bonded to the roof that goes due to the ****e sealant that LR used, the roof needs removing from the vehicle and everything cleaning up then re-bonding with Sikaflex or similar

ouch, not as simple as I thought. thanks for the help. John

I just sealed mine. Both round the glass and the outer casing. Been dry since. They make nice sky lights. Notice how dark it was in the cab this morning with a snow covered roof.
