I recently purchased a Freelander 1 HSE and have been conducting a thorough inspection and maintenance. During this process, I came across a bundle of wires that don’t seem to connect to anything. They are secured with electrical tape and are located near the ECU inside the engine bay.
I’m posting a few photos now and will take more detailed ones once I get home. I’d like to know if this is a common occurrence. What might be missing? Why were these wires disconnected or removed? I’m particularly curious because the tape used is blue, which seems to be factory-installed. If it were black tape, I would be more confident that something had been altered! (laughs)
