unrestricted lanes

hi just looked up on my local council website according to that byways with red signs are unrestricted can anyone confirm that as i got a few lanes like this on my doorstep just dont wanna get grief / bull from plod/ramblers and i am itching to drive em if legal

lil red arrows are byways and have no restrctions on them

Err... not on ordnance survey maps they're not

Little red crosses on Landranger maps but little GREEN crosses (e.g. +++ ) on OS explorer maps.

FWIW Explorer maps are the ones to use - much more detailed.

Where abouts are you wotamidoin?

Very true... looks like this usually...

aye them the ones they should have been removed if there is a TRO on the lane otherwise it is stil a leagal lane same as a normal road sign
