Howdy all,

Wondered if any moggers were about?

We now have a mog in many parts, she's actually not as much of an old minger
as she appears to be. Having just taken the rocker cover off and been
amazed by how clean it was, I think she may be mechanically sound.

Anyway, I will need inner and outer front mudguards (as a start) and various
other bits and bats. I've come across the very useful West 4*4, but any
other good stockists? Is there a unimog scrapyard anywhere?

Also, what are my options for registering it in the UK? I have no paperwork,
and I've tried calling the dvla to no avail. She has a harvey frost on the
back, and from an old tax disk appears to be registered as a recovery
vehicle. Is PLG better or worse? I have a proper licence with 7.5tonne on
it, so I'm not bothered about that side of things.

She's a 404.1, I believe.

ta,

jim

If I remember correctly you would have to run it on trade plates and with
motor traders insurance to take advantage of that situation probably work
out cheaper to buy a new Mog

There is a huge old coalpit site littered with burnt out cars a few miles
away, I've toyed with the idea of registering a company in order to get an
unprofitable but fun sideline.

However, we're gonna want to take the crane off. The mechanics all seem fine
and solid and we'll replace the entire brake system, so there's no reason
to be scared of an MOT anyway. I hope.
