i have a discovery 300tdi and am changing tyres for the first time. does anyone know what the minimum speed rating is without nulling your insurance. is it p,q or r

why would you want to put the minimum on??? yer speed rating isn't really a speed rating its more of a load and stress (afaik) rating therefore yer better orf with a higher one to cope with whatever you chuck at them.

The workshop manual says that tyres should have S or T (112 or 118mph) speed ratings and a load index of 104 (900kg).

You should be aware that fitting a tyre with a higher speed rating isn't necessarily a good idea unless it also has a sufficiently high load index. Most high speed rated tyres aren't designed to have a Land Rover's weight on them - they're designed to be fitted to lighter, high performance cars

HTH ;)
