i know - dumb q - which tyres are best?
But here goes - I have just been recommended General Grabber AT2's as a road/occasional offroad tyre (215/65/16).
duz anyone have experience of them - they are supposed to be very hard wearing.

and before anyone asks wot vehicle - its for my X-trail (giggles all round).

I have no intention of any serious ruff stuff - just muddy tracks n stuff - usual winter country lanes and fields.
I have just seen that it has an "off-road grading index" of 6 - wtf duz that mean, other than better than 1 and worse than 10? is this a definitive scale or just one suppliers kiddology?

I have a set of Cooper ST's on the disco for road/tame off road. They are very, very good. I've also done off road days on them when I couldn't be bothered to swap them over for the m/t's. They went everywhere that my mates RR went and he's on Goodrich M/T's.
