Hey guys. It’s time to change the tyres on my 2011 RR 4.4 TDV8. I do 50% town driving, 30% motorways and 20% muddy fields and construction sites.

What do people recommend in terms of performance, longevity, fuel economy, not getting stuck, road noise, etc?

I currently have Pirelli Scorpions 255/50/20 which I have no issue with. Just wanted to know if there’s something better out there.

I run 50/50s on my 38' in a 16" version.
Normal road, green laning and motorway all with Hankook dyna pro2. I'm not sure if they are available for your size wheels.
I used to have général grabbers at3's before that also a good 50/50 Tyre. :)

Hi and ditto, for my sins I run 22” bands in the warmer months and switch to 20” Scorpions before the end of October. Pirelli have definitely hit the mark with the P Zero it’s very quiet and super grippy on the tarmac rain or shine. Off road I can’t testify but would have thought you would be slower than the all terrain tyres in the mud.
Either way I’m not convinced tyre choice will make a huge impact on mpg given you’re driving a house on wheels.

Thanks everyone. In the end I went for the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV ATs. More expensive than the Pirelli but supposedly gripper on bends. Figure this could help a little with body roll (given it’s a house on wheels).

I expect the body roll to be worse - much worse, cos your going to want to pee round corners quicker wont you. :):)

They won't stop body roll, the suspension, shocks and bushes do that....

That's interesting to know, what did you have done and what make please, I can pass this onto a client. I particularly have one who bombs around in an l322 like it's a mini....
They all handle well until they let go and 3ish tonne becomes a bloody scary object. ;)
 
So the mechanic replaced the suspension arms, bushings and ball joints. Afraid I don’t know what brand but he only uses genuine Land Rover parts.

Also changed the gaiter but not sure what that does tbh.
