Hi there,
a couple of months ago I had a puncture in the sidewall of one of my tyres. Forcing me to drive around on the spare for what seems like a lifetime.
Now that I have the necessary cash to replace said tyre I am faced with a quandary..
My tyres are BF Goodrich All Terrain Radials LT 265/75 R16. Which are difficult to replace where I live in South West France as there are less 4WD vehicles down here.
Miraculously, one local breakers yard (in the country) has a good stock of second hand tyres, however none is an exact match. The best match I have seen are also BF Goodrich All Terrain 16 inch Radials but not 265/75. I have to confess that I have not written down the numbers. As I recall they are slightly lower and the tyre looks narrower. Also the tyres are marked load range E rather than Load Range D on mine.
Does anyone see a problem putting 2 of these on the front or the back?
My other option is to buy single new tyre. The other tyres have some mileage but LOOK in very good condition. (Apart from a heavily scuffed sidewall on the punctured one that is).
