May be a silly question but my pajero spare tyre is size 32x11.50 R15, the
running tyres are size 265/70 R15, are these sizes "interchangable" or do i
need a new spare, any helpful advice welcomed

AFAICT, the equivalent to 265/70 R15 is 31x10.5 R15, so your spare is too
big. I've got 265/70 R15, which is the manufacturer's original size, all
round on my Mk 2 - but some makes (e.g. BFG) don't do those and only do the
31x10.5 R15 size.

For more info, try the Pajero Owners Club (http://www.pocuk.com/) - one
thread on the subject is at:

Yes you do need a new or a second hand spare of the same size as the tyres
on the four road wheels.

Andy Sargeant ([email protected]) gurgled happily, sounding much like
they were saying :

Better tell that to all those manufacturers who provide new cars with 15"
steel spares for 17" alloys, or space saver spares...

Yes, my Ford Explorer has a different size spare from the main wheels.

The usual advice is to drive carefully and get the puncture repaired as soon
as possible.
