Hi all,
A newbie Landie owner seeking some guidance/advice on a turbo charger related item please.
I've a P reg Defender 110 LWB 2.5td with 219,000 on the clock and its great fun!
Whilst decelerating, lifting off the accerlerator slightly smoke billows from the exhaust. Lift off completely it stops. The mechanic has had a look and has indicated the turbo to be the cause. He mentioned there was oil in the intercooler as well which once the turbo was fixed should burn off eventually.
My initial query would be around a turbo replacement, the best place, options for this i.e. new/recon etc.
I've seen some postings relating to turbo fix kits, anyone used these successfully?
