We are the proud new owners of a beautiful Land Rover Series 2a 109 1972.

We plan to convert the back end of the Land Rover into a mobile bar/food truck with beer taps & fold out grill and we are looking for a reliable / trust-worthy mechanic that knows his/her way around the older models.

We are based in South-West London so a mechanic within close proximity is preferable.

If any members might know some you could put us in touch with, it would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks,
Will

Will, shame you're not a little down the M4/Berkshire as I've a good friend who knows Series inside out [he too has a 1972 IIA 109] and, like me, he's a proper "old skool" engineer who's been rebuilding historic cars for 30+ years. SW London's only 45-50mins away, would you like the work completed in leafy West Berks?? Feel free to pm me if good for you.

Rgds,

Honestly look outside of London. The guys that still know their way around these vehicles are the ones who regularly work on them. Look in areas where there are still lots of old landys on the road being used day to day. That isn’t London. Suffolk, where I’m from, isn’t far and has many very experienced guys
