Hi all, well after my finger mishap I decided to cheer myself up and bob over to Brotherton were Yorkshire of road club were holding a Trail event. Having never done one before I thought I would go find out what the crack is. Once I found the site the chaps and chappesses there were very friendly and welcoming.

"Marshall or competing" one guy asked me.:eek::eek: my arse fell out and i dribbled on for a while about just coming to watch and see what the crack was. "Sign the peice of paper so ya covered ont insurance and ya can marshall" er ok. " any how that's far too shiny to compete any way lol".

So we trundled through the woods to the far end were the first stage was marked out with flags numbered from 12 - 1. The rules were quickly explained to me and off they went.

90s,110s,range rovers, defenders, bob tails and soft tops all banged and clattered through the course, some got stuck and immediate p**s taking began.:p But every one helped get them going again.

This is my kind off fun me thinks mud, landys, and plenty off banta. Unfortunately I had to shoot off at lunch time but I think I am hooked. Just need to save up for some proper rubber as my bf ats wont cut the mustard.

So thanks to all that made me feel so welcome and when, NOT if my landy gets bashed bruised, well its about time it looked used instead of a tarts hand bag lol:D:D:D

Paul, if an RTV is set out correctly it should basically be non damaging to vehicles assuming expected driving line is taken. At YORC we have a rule that vehicles are driven to trials as we fully expect them to be driven away at end of the event.

Liam glad fellow YORC members made you welcome, I could not make it unfortunately. We do have members in the Wakefield/Ossett area

Trials... Punch Events.... RTV...CCV....

My life has become a little narrow viewed!

This is why I have a landy...now all I need to do is make the ****er work properly!

Punch events normally consist of having a card attached to say dash board on passenger side. Punches are located around the site and you have to drive up to the punch and punch your card. You will be given clues or map references to find the punches.

When we set out a punch hunt the punches can be relatively easy to find but shall we say more entertaining to get to. Punches which are well hidden might be easier to obtain. Normally working in teams of two vehicles, dependent on level of punch hunt winches may or may not be allowed to be used. In challenge events roll cages /helmets might be mandatory.

HTH
