I own a 1985 90 with a 2.5di transit engine (i can hear the 'tuts' and shaking of heads from hear!) but is it really that bad? iv turned the fuel pump up a bit, better air filter and exhaust and a litre of 2 stroke every time i fill up with fuel. yeah its a bit loud but iv heard worse tdi's, i can keep up with traffic ok tho i do need a head of steam on for some hills! i think it go's ok, am i the ony 1 who thinks its a good swap or should i hang my head in shame?
