Ok, got a problem with my transfer case. It's making a bad noise when I'm
in 4, and I checked the fluid and it's full of metal shavings. Couple of
questions. I talked to a shop and he said the labor is going to be around
$350 plus parts. Does anyone know what the parts may run? I know that it
depends on what all parts i'll need, but i'm looking for an idea, worse
case? $2,000? $200? I have no idea. Also, I can't afford this right now,
I know the longer I put this off, the worse it'll get, but the guy at the
shop said it can mess up the transmission if I wait, is he blowing smoke up
my arse? Also, would I be better off trying to find a used transfer case?
Any help I can get will be great. Thanks.
