tranny drop 1995 cherolet 4x4

i am having a huge problem trying to get my tranny out of my 1995 chevrolet
1500 4x4. i got everything off all bellhousing bolts out, but the tranny
wont come off of the block. (the bellhousing and transmission are one
piece.) the only thing that i can see is holding me up is these two little
guide pin looking things. but they dont have any type of head on them that
i can put a tool on and take them out, but they do have a head that appears
to be overlaping on the bellhousing like it is holding it on. anybody ever
run across this before, or have any idea to what i should try to get my
tranny out?

I know this sounds patronizing, but are you 100% sure you got all the
bolts? And the linkage, driveshaft, etc? When this happens to me I
find I've just missed a screw or bolt somewhere that I didn't think
there was one. There is no 'magic' on the GM automatics... You did
unbolt the torque converter from the flexplate, right? (Yes, you can
remove it without doing this but you risk damage to the pump and front
seals).

Lot's of 'salt' damage? Remember, the engine and guide pins are steel
the bell housing is alumimum, and can stick together.
