Freelander 1 Track control arm torque settings???

Wondering if anyone can help?
Torque settings for a 05 Freelander TD4 track control arm.....

I replaced both front track control arms (Delphi part TC1259 / 1258). According to the manual the front bolts should be torqued up to 190 Nm (Seems to be correct for M14 Grade 10,9) and the nuts on the rear of the large bush to 140 Nm. Front bolts were not a problem but torquing up the 1st rear nut sheared the stud.
The torque wrench is calibrated and OK. Obviously I'm going to have to buy, at least, one more control arm but without knowing what I should torque it too I'm afraid of applying too much torque!
Any Advice would be much appreciated.

I don't do the rear mount nut anything like 140Nm. I normally do them till they're normal spanner tight, which would be about 80Nm, at a guess.

The thread of the pin isn't hardened like a 10 grade bolt, so I can't see why the torque setting is so high.

The bolts must only be toughened when weight is on the wheels, and the suspension has settled.

140 Nm is the theoretical torque for a M14 Grade 8,8 Bolt so I guess the stud isn't made to that standard !
I'll install a new arm and torque to 80 Nm.
Out of interest do you think TRW or similar would be better quality than Delphi?

Delphi are the OE components, but TRW are also a reputable brand, so I guess they're ok. I'm finding that the joint boots are lasting no time at all these days. I don't know if rubber is poorer quality than in the past, or the UV radiation from the sun is higher than in the past, but joint boots definitely aren't lasting long.

Couldn't agree more about the rubber quality.
Can't help thinking that with so much talk about being environmentally friendly if components were made to increasingly better standards then there would be less waste.....
