Does anyone have a link to troubleshooting data for a '97 FJ80 cruise
control?
Mine is starting to cut out or refuse to engage intermittently. When
this happens, the instrument panel "Cruise" indicator starts blinking on
and off slowly.
I have the shop manuals but there is no mention of the blinking light as
a diagnostic. The cruise control has its own ECU which doesn't appear to
support the OBD II system. Is there any more detailed error code info.
available (back in the old days, ECUs could be coaxed into blinking
codes)? Or am I just going to have to start poking around with a
voltmeter? Intermittent faults aren't easy to find this way.
